03.15.10

San Ramon, Calif., March, 2010 – Global Inventures, Inc., a recognized leader in providing operational and event services to collaborative communities, recently announced they will manage three Open Smart Grid (OpenSG) User Group conferences in calendar 2010.  The OpenSG User Group is a subcommittee under the larger UCA International Users Group, and was formed to promote the integration and interoperability of electric, gas, and water utility through the deployment of open standards.

With a long list of successfully managing events around the world, Inventures will work with OpenSG to plan the events, develop budgets, implement sponsorship programs, negotiate contracts with vendors and manage each event.    The OpenSG User Group Conferences will take place May 3-6 in Washington, DC, followed by venues in Detroit in July and Ft. Lauderdale in November.

“We’re excited that the UCA International User Group has chosen Inventures to manage their OpenSG events,” said Deepak Kamlani, Inventures Founder and CEO.  “This is a challenging time for Smart Grid technologies and associated standards-setting activities and we look forward to being directly involved with the event management of their Smart Grid User Group upcoming conferences.”
