Leadership Team

 

Stan Moyer

President

Stan Moyer combines a strong background in technology management with extensive experience in technology alliances, societies, and associations. He serves as President of Inventures, where he is responsible for strategy, client service delivery and performance, and new client development.

Stan also serves as the Executive Director for an Inventures client, the SD Card Association, and he continues to create and launch new associations and technology alliances. Since joining Inventures in 2011, Stan has helped form and launch many new organizations and has served as Executive Director for several of those technology consortiums.

Stan has over 25 years of experience in the communications industry. He worked for 21 years in the Applied Research area of Telcordia Technologies, where he was the strategic research program manager responsible for overseeing Telcordia's long-range R&D program and facilitating monetization of its output. He is a member of the IEEE and has held many volunteer Board and other leadership positions in the IEEE Communications Society and other parts of the IEEE during the past 30 years.

Stan received an M.E. degree in electrical engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, and a B.S. degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Maine.

 

 

Steve Crumb

Vice President, Client Services

As Vice President, Client Services, Steve Crumb oversees the information technology services delivered to Inventures’ clients. These services range from client-specific applications to a secure and available infrastructure for web sites, communications, and membership/financial management. 

Steve is also an active Executive Director and consultant for a variety of associations and technical alliances. Over the past 15 years, he has formed, led or consulted more than 15 multi-stakeholder collaborations in various industries including automotive software, transportation network, wireless power, universal communications, smart electrical grids, and smart cities. Steve provides his clients with strategic and tactical leadership, including facilitation of board, advisory and management steering committees. He also manages alliance revenue generation, including membership programs, grants, and sponsorships. 

Prior to joining Inventures, Steve served as Executive Director and Vice President of Operations with the Open Grid Forum. Steve’s career has been sprinkled with a number of leading edge technologies. He became a mentor to a software engineering team leveraging component-based development methodologies. He served as a Research Scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications specializing in internetworking and participated in several IESF working groups. He also helped build and manage Motorola’s first corporate networking lab and launched some of its first TCP/IP networks and servers. 

Steve holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Western Kentucky University and has several advanced technical certifications.

 

Traci Renner

Vice President, Marketing

As Vice President, Marketing, Traci Renner oversees the Inventures marketing team and provides strategic planning and execution of marketing, branding and communications programs for Inventures’ technology alliance and association clients. Her expertise includes organization messaging and positioning, brand identity, content strategy and creation, social media, and creating impactful internal and external communications programs that help drive and achieve business results.

Traci has more than 25 years of strategic marketing and communications experience. She has worked in a variety of industries including corporate, wireless and mobile technology, consumer technology, nonprofit and financial services, among others. Before joining Inventures, Traci spent 15 years at Golin, a leading communications agency, where she led many technology accounts providing strategic counsel and developing comprehensive public relations programs for clients.

Traci holds a B.A. degree in Communications from California State University at Fullerton.    

 

Kevin Schader

Vice President, Ecosystem Development & Collaboration

As Vice President, Ecosystem Development & Collaboration, Kevin Schader oversees Inventures’ executive directors, marketing and certification executives, program and events managers, supporting Inventures’ clients. Kevin also serves as Executive Director for the UnitVisID Alliance, Mopria Alliance, ONVIF, and provides communications counsel for the SD Association. He also supported several other clients, including ROEV, Thread Group, and the ZigBee Alliance (now Connectivity Standards Alliance). Kevin works side-by-side with consortia leadership, offering direction and counsel on a variety of strategic ecosystem development, marketing, and operational issues. He regularly consults with new clients seeking to start a new alliance or association.

Kevin has more than 25 years of technology experience and has an international public relations background, supporting a variety of industries including broadcast media, healthcare, security, telecommunications, and travel organizations.

Kevin graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in Communications and International Studies from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

 

John Ehrig

Executive Director

John Ehrig joined Inventures in 2004 and has served as Executive Director for many clients over the years. He is currently the Executive Director of the West Coast Lumber & Building Materials Association (WCLBMA) and the Inventures CollabForum – a non-profit hosting organization serving multiple types of collaborative organizations. John works closely with his client boards to define the short and long-term strategic direction and annual goals for the organization and lead the operational programs required to achieve success.

Prior to joining Inventures, John worked as Director of Product Management for Symmetricom, the worldwide leader in telecommunications network synchronization equipment, where he led the development of a $30m/year product line and later headed the corporate marketing department.

John graduated with distinction from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.    

 
 

Tom Sciorilli

Executive Director, Certification

Tom Sciorilli combines a strong background in manufacturing, quality and test with more than 10 years of experience developing and leading world-class certification programs for technology organizations. He joined Inventures in 2015 as Executive Director, Certification and currently serves as Certification Director for Thread Group, a leading technology alliance client. Before joining Inventures, Tom led the Wi-Fi Certified™ test program and technical operations at Wi-Fi Alliance.

Tom has more than 25 years of technology experience in roles spanning engineering, program management and leadership. He spent over 15 years in the semiconductor industry, working on development of microprocessors, memories and mobile products at Intel and Marvell.

Tom holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.     

 

Jessica Esparza

Director, Operations

Jessica Esparza joined Inventures in 2010 and as Director, Operations, she manages the business operations team providing membership, financial management, and customer service support for various clients. With more than 10 years of customer service experience, Jessica has a keen focus on service excellence, which she achieves alongside her team providing proactive, professional support for Inventures’ alliance and association clients.

Prior to becoming Director, Operations, Jessica has served in various positions at Inventures including certification specialist and membership support. She has also provided committee support for multiple member-based clients supporting their committee chairs and work group initiatives.

Jessica graduated from California State University, East Bay with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.
